48-hour client cancellation / rescheduling notice
Unless the written booking states otherwise, a learner, parent, guardian or client should give at least 48 hours’ written notice through the official Tuition Services Malta WhatsApp route to cancel or request rescheduling. Late cancellations and missed sessions may remain payable, subject to mandatory rights and any exception expressly accepted by Tuition Services Malta.
Three-week notice for ongoing tuition
Open-ended recurring tuition normally requires at least three weeks’ written notice to end. Lessons within that notice period remain payable unless Tuition Services Malta agrees otherwise or applicable law requires otherwise.
Tutor illness or emergency
If a tutor becomes unexpectedly unavailable, the normal first remedy is rescheduling, a suitable replacement tutor, equivalent tuition at another mutually suitable time, or tuition credit. Genuine same-morning illness may result in short-notice notification.
Tuition credit
Where a client cannot immediately provide another date because of holidays, travel, school, therapy, examinations or similar commitments, an affected tutor-unavailability lesson may ordinarily remain available as tuition credit for up to 90 days from the original lesson date unless an extension is agreed.
Cash refunds
A cash refund is not automatically triggered merely because one lesson needs to be rescheduled where Tuition Services Malta remains ready and reasonably able to supply the outstanding tuition. If the paid service ultimately cannot be supplied within a reasonable period after reasonable alternative availability is provided, any applicable refund, price reduction, termination right or other remedy will be handled under the Terms and mandatory law.
Fixed-date and business programmes
Fixed-date speciality classes and business programmes may be sold on a non-refundable basis where that condition has been lawfully and clearly agreed before purchase. Digital notes or resources already supplied or accessed remain subject to the statutory rules applicable to digital content.
Trial slots
After a trial, a learner or parent/guardian who wants the original slot to remain available should normally confirm continuation in writing within three days. If confirmation is not received, the slot may be released.
Public holidays
No lessons are held on public holidays unless expressly arranged in advance.
How to send a formal request
For the time being, cancellation, rescheduling, withdrawal and other formal requests should be sent through the structured WhatsApp route on this website so the date and content can be retained in writing.
